JAPAN PACK is pleased to introduce a new product: a die for continuous punching using self-healing film (Utility Model Registration No. 3252711). Self-healing film refers to a film that naturally repairs scratches and dents over time. By using self-healing film instead of backing plates, scratches on the film surface are self-repaired after each processing cycle, enabling continuous die-cutting. Compared to using resin backing plates, employing self-healing film has demonstrated over tenfold increases in the number of continuous die-cutting cycles.

By forming a die-cut shape and simultaneously shearing the sides, steam vents are created in the plastic resin. With conventional press molding, scrap is generated when holes are made, which can contaminate the container. However, with this mold, scrap is not generated, and steam vents can be created safely. By positioning the steam vent holes on the side surfaces, there are several advantages: (1) the contents are easy to see, (2) even when stacked, the vent holes are not blocked, and (3) the narrow vent hole area makes it difficult for insects like fruit flies to enter. This is a patented technology.
